Add, subtract, and convert SMPTE timecode at 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 drop-frame, 30, 50, 59.94, and 60 fps. No upload.
Drop-frame: frame numbers ;00, ;01 are skipped at each minute start (except every 10th). Real time still advances.
Pure math in your browser tab. No upload, no waiting.
Correct drop-frame numbering at 29.97 and 59.94, plus 23.976 aware seconds.
Convert a whole list at once and download CSV for Excel or Sheets.
This tool does timecode arithmetic. Cutsio indexes transcripts, scenes, objects, and faces so your whole video library becomes searchable by timecode and content.
Pick your frame rate, type the total frame count into the Convert tab, and the tool returns the HH:MM:SS:FF timecode plus real seconds. It works in reverse too — type a timecode to get frames and seconds.
Drop-frame is a numbering adjustment used at 29.97 and 59.94 fps so the timecode stays aligned with real clock time. Frame numbers 00 and 01 (00–03 at 59.94) are skipped at the start of each minute, except every 10th minute. No frames are lost — only the numbers skip. This calculator applies that math exactly.
23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 drop-frame and non-drop, 30, 50, 59.94 drop-frame and non-drop, and 60 fps. Seconds are computed from the true rate (e.g. 30000/1001 for 29.97), not the rounded number.
Yes. Paste one timecode per line in the Bulk list tab to get frames and seconds for every entry, then copy the results or download a CSV that opens directly in Excel or Google Sheets.
No. The entire calculation runs in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server.
