What is Apple ProRes?
Apple ProRes is a professional intermediate video codec used by cameras from ARRI, Blackmagic, RED, Atomos, and others. It preserves high quality for editing and color grading but produces very large files that can't be played in browsers or shared easily.
Why convert ProRes to MP4?
MP4 with H.264 is playable everywhere — browsers, phones, smart TVs, and messaging apps. Converting ProRes to MP4 shrinks the file dramatically (often 80–95% smaller) while retaining good visual quality for review, sharing, or web upload.
Is the quality preserved?
