Titles are not showing in Final Cut Pro primarily because the text color blends into the background, the required font is missing from macOS, or the title layer is disabled on the timeline.

Here are the direct methods to fix missing titles in Final Cut Pro.

## How do you fix invisible text colors?
If you dragged a title onto the timeline but cannot see the words, the text color is likely white on a bright background or black on a dark background.

To fix invisible text colors:
1. Select the title clip on the timeline.
2. Open the **Text Inspector** (top right panel).
3. Scroll down to the **Face** section.
4. Change the **Color** to contrast with your video, or check the box for **Drop Shadow** to make the text pop against any background.

## How do you fix missing font errors?
If a title template displays a yellow warning triangle or defaults to a generic font like Helvetica, the specific font used to build the title is not installed on your Mac.

To fix missing font errors:
1. Select the title clip and look at the **Text Inspector** to identify the name of the missing font.
2. Close Final Cut Pro.
3. Download the missing font file (usually a `.ttf` or `.otf` file).
4. Double-click the font file and click **Install Font** to add it to your Mac's Font Book.
5. Reopen Final Cut Pro. The title will automatically recognize the font and display correctly.

## How do you enable disabled title layers?
If the title clip is visible on the timeline but completely dark grey, the layer has been bypassed and will not render in the viewer.

To enable disabled title layers:
1. Locate the dark grey title clip above your primary storyline.
2. Click the clip to select it.
3. Press `V` on your keyboard. The clip will turn bright purple, and the text will instantly appear in the viewer.
