Audio export is missing in Final Cut Pro primarily because the export format is set to video-only, specific audio roles are disabled in the share settings, or the master track is muted on the timeline.

Here are the direct methods to fix silent exports in Final Cut Pro.

## How do you fix video-only export settings?
If your exported file has absolutely no audio track attached to it, the export format was accidentally changed to exclude sound.

To fix video-only export settings:
1. Click the **Share** button (top right) and select **Export File**.
2. Go to the **Settings** tab.
3. Check the **Format** dropdown. If it is set to **Video Only**, change it to **Video and Audio**.
4. Click **Next** and export the file again.

## How do you enable missing audio roles during export?
If sound effects and music are present but the dialogue is completely missing from the final export, the specific dialogue Role was disabled in the share window.

To enable missing audio roles during export:
1. Open the **Export File** window and click the **Roles** tab.
2. Look at the list of audio roles (Dialogue, Music, Effects).
3. If any role has a minus (`-`) symbol or is unchecked, click it to include it in the final mix.
4. Ensure the **Audio routing** is set to **Stereo** or **Surround** so all roles are combined into the main track.

## How do you fix muted clips on the timeline?
If specific clips are silent during both playback and export, the clips were accidentally disabled or their volume was dragged to zero.

To fix muted clips on the timeline:
1. Look at the audio clips on your timeline. If they are dark grey instead of bright green or blue, they are disabled. Select them and press `V` to enable them.
2. If they are bright but the black volume line inside the clip is resting at the very bottom, the volume is set to `-∞ dB`.
3. Drag the horizontal volume line back up to `0 dB` to restore the sound.
