## What is the DaVinci Resolve Replay Editor?

The DaVinci Resolve Replay Editor is a specialized hardware panel designed for multi-camera editing in news cutting and live sports replay workflows. It includes dedicated camera selection buttons for instant angle switching, live override mode for real-time camera cutting, and source overwrite for synced timecode editing. It connects via Bluetooth or USB-C.

Three models are available from Blackmagic Design: the Speed Editor (compact, search dial), the Replay Editor (multi-cam focused), and the full Editor Keyboard (QWERTY with metal search dial).

## How does the Sync Bin multi-camera selection work on the Replay Editor?

The camera number section lets you select cameras when using the Cut page Sync Bin. Press a camera number to switch angles in the multiview. Press a camera number while turning the search dial to apply the selected camera to the timeline in real time as you jog forward. This feature is called Live Override.

Hold a camera button momentarily for a temporary switch, or latch Live Override on using the Live Override button. When latched, the buttons light up and you can select cameras like a production switcher. The built-in video only and audio only buttons provide greater control for split edits.

## How does the Replay Editor compare to the Speed Editor and Editor Keyboard?

The Replay Editor is the right choice if multi-camera switching is your primary workflow. The Speed Editor is better suited for general content creation. The full Editor Keyboard is best for editors who need QWERTY typing alongside hardware editing controls. All three models use the same search dial technology and work with the Cut page.

For editors who pre-organize footage in Cutsio before importing into Resolve, the Sync Bin multi-camera workflow works with EDL-imported timelines. Pre-sync your multi-cam clips in Cutsio, export an EDL, and use the Replay Editor for fast angle selection during the edit.
