The best way to fix color grading problems in DaVinci Resolve is to enable bypassed color nodes, match the timeline color space to your camera, and relink missing custom LUTs.

Here are the direct methods to best fix color grading problems in DaVinci Resolve.

## What is the fastest way to enable bypassed color nodes?
If you apply adjustments using the Color Wheels or Curves but the video remains completely flat, the node or the master bypass toggle is turned off.

To quickly enable bypassed color nodes:
1. Go to the **Color** page.
2. Look at your Node Graph in the top right corner.
3. If a node is greyed out with a line through it, it is disabled. Click the node and press `Ctrl+D` (Windows) or `Cmd+D` (Mac) to turn it back on.
4. If all nodes are colored but the image is still flat, press `Shift+D` to toggle the master bypass button, restoring the entire grade instantly.

## How do you fix color space mismatch (washed out footage)?
If your camera shot in LOG (flat profile) but DaVinci Resolve is interpreting the footage with overly contrasty or severely washed-out colors, the project's Color Management settings are incorrect.

To fix color space mismatch:
1. Press `Shift+9` to open **Project Settings**.
2. Click **Color Management** on the left panel.
3. Change the **Color science** dropdown from DaVinci YRGB to **DaVinci YRGB Color Managed**.
4. Check **Automatic color management**. DaVinci Resolve will now automatically read the camera's metadata and apply the correct REC.709 conversion, making the footage look normal.

## How do you relink missing custom LUTs?
If a clip displays a bright red warning screen or "LUT Offline" text, the custom `.cube` file applied to that specific node has been deleted or moved from your hard drive.

To relink missing custom LUTs:
1. Go to the **Color** page and select the node with the red warning.
2. Click the **LUTs** browser in the top left corner.
3. Right-click any folder and select **Open LUT Folder**.
4. A Finder or Windows Explorer window will open. Paste the missing `.cube` file into this exact folder.
5. Right-click inside the DaVinci Resolve LUT browser and select **Refresh**. The red warning will instantly disappear.
